Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have congratulated Prof. Adenike Oladiji, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure, on her appointment as the institution’s first female Vice-Chancellor.
Oladiji of the University of Ilorin’s Department of Biochemistry was recently named the university’s seventh substantive vice-chancellor.

Ambassador Godknows Igali, Pro-Chancellor, and Chairman of the University’s Governing council announced the appointment, saying that the Council accepted it at its Special Meeting last Thursday May 12, 2022
Oladiji is the university’s ninth substantive vice-chancellor and the first woman to hold the role.
Prof. Joseph Fuwape’s term ends on Monday, May 23, and she will succeed him. Her appointment will take effect on May 24th, 2022.
In a statement issued by The Governors Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, He stated that the appointment was a step forward for gender equality and inclusion
