“You have what it takes to be President of Nigeria” – Wike tells Obi
Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom wike has pledged to support Peter Obi’s presidential campaign within the state with “Logistics”
Wike said this on Thursday at the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover inauguration in Portharcourt.
Wike also told Obi that he has what it takes to lead Nigeria.
“Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you,” Wike told Obi.
Peter and his running mate Datti were received by a large crowd who identify themselves as ‘Obidients’ as they went to the state’s capital to commission the 9th flyover.
Wike and four other Governors in PDP have long sent and demanded for the resignation of PDP’s national chairman, Iyorcha Ayu as a condition to support Atiku Abubakar in his campaign for presidency.
Wike told Peter Obi that he knows the humiliation he passed through in PDP which made him leave the party, but he (Wike) was not going to leave but fight and chase out the “armed robbers”
“I know the humiliation you suffered. Nobody will hear what you pass through and stay in the party but I will not leave. I will stay and fight.
“I won’t leave this house. I will never allow armed robbers to take over this house. I will stay and chase away armed robbers.
“So, thank God because if you have not left, you would not have realised your ambition to be able to save Nigeria,” Wike told Obi.
