Nollywood actor, Lawyer and politician, Mr Kenneth Okonkwo has said that Atiku knows he has failed and now wants to destroy Nigeria’s democracy.
His opinion is as a result of the recent statement made by the presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) where he spoke at the north saying, “what the northerners need is not a Yoruba or Igbo candidate, but a northerner who is a pan Nigerian”
Okonkwo in an interview on Thursday, said Atiku should have been disqualified by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for making such a “genocidal statement”.
“Atiku Abubakar went to the north and said northerners should support only the people from the north, not Yoruba, not Igbo, that is ethnic profiling.
“Atiku knows that he has failed, what he is trying to do now is to make sure he destroys our democracy after he has failed and he should be called to order.
“INEC should be implementing Section 97 of the Electoral Act now on Atiku because what he has done is a criminal offence (trying to profile ethnic and religious groups.
“I have always said he is very unfit to be president and not only that he is unfit, he is now a threat to our democracy” He said.
He added that his party’s presidential candidate (Peter Obi) is the only one who is not playing the ethnic card
and has been “holistically’ advocating for a united and better Nigeria.
