Kano University of Science and Technology renamed after Dangote

Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil has been renamed by the Kano State administration.

This was approved by the State Executive Council at its most recent meeting, which was presided over by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Malam Muhammad Garba, the state Commissioner for Information, announced the move in a statement on Sunday, saying it came after a recommendation from the university’s Visitation Panel.

The institution will now be known as Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil.

The decision has been forwarded to the state House of Assembly, which will study and revise the applicable laws establishing the university, according to the statement.
