Presidential aid, Bashir Ahmad, loses APC primaries for House of Representatives


Current presidential Aid on new Media,Bashir Ahmad has lost the just conclzuded primaries for House of Representatives,Gaya/Ajingi/Albasu Federal Constituency, Kano.

It was sighted in his twitter handle soliciting for prayers as the primaries were to begin in earnest.

“Our primary election is tomorrow, I am contesting against the incumbent MHR, even though majority of you have no business in the process, but I have important requests, kindly include me in your prayers, words of encouragement, and best wishes, PLEASE. May Allah grant us victory!” he said.

Bashir lost to the incumbent member, Abdullahi Gaya, with 109 to 16 votes.

He also earlier mentioned that he left the venue of the primary elections as thugs were intimidating him and his delegates.

“As an aspirant, I left the venue of the primary election for Gaya, Ajingi and Albasu Federal Constituency, because of the security of our majority delegates, if want to compete with the best, thugs shouldn’t be part of any election.”

Son of the governor of Kano State Umar Ganduje, won the ticket to contest for the seat of Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimingado Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives for APC
