Colleagues of Nollywood actress, Kemi Afolabi, have turned to the public to seek financial support to treat her illness.

Actresses Toyin Abraham and Mercy Aigbe took to Instagram to solicit funds to support their friend Kemi Afolabi via a Gofundme account that had been opened to support her treatments.

In the interview earlier with Kemi, she revealed that she was diagnosed with lupus and was told by the doctors that she had just five years to live.

Afolabi revealed that she spent N1.2 million on medications weekly to manage the illness, which made her sell her cars, property, and business to afford the treatment.

She also said that she had received support from her colleagues including Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe and Funke Akindele.

Abraham called on her fans to support help Afolabi with their donations in order to enable her to continue treatments
