A tanker filled with fuel has exploded along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
It was confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) that the incident happened in the early hours of Thursday.
This incident happened at Araromi town before Sagamu Interchange, Ogun state. OJT Reporters learned that a bus got involved in the fire.
Details are not yet very clear as to if it claimed any lives.
Spokesperson of the FRSC, Florence Okpe, said rescue operation is still ongoing and the number of people involved is yet to be confirmed.
She also explained that the scene has been cordoned off, and traffic diverted to avert a secondary clash.
“Motorists are advised to make use of alternative routes to avoid unnecessary delay.
“Motorists are advised to remain calm and cooperate with traffic managers managing the situation,” she said.
