Students of the University of Ilorin have started mass protest online via twitter and onsite, at the entrance of their school gate
The Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, were present and positioned at the gate to ensure sanity.
The students carried placards and banners calling out to the federal government to take necessary steps in order for the strike to end
Others online used the trending hashtag on Twitter #ilorinprotest

Other schools have started posting fliers of their own protest to start. Students of Obafemi Awolowo university (OAU) and IMO state university (IMSU) have started mobilizing to start their protests on Thursday and Wednesday respectively
