Osinbajo visits Buhari 8 days after his declaration


Eight days after the vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo made his declaration to contest for president, he meets with the present president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari in Aso rock on Tuesday.

Details of the meeting are not clear yet as at the time of the filing of this report.

65 Year old Osinbajo is a senior advocate of Nigeria and a former lecturer in the university of Lagos.

He is also one of the senior pastors of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)

He was nominated as Buhari’s vice in 2014 and was elected into office alongside Buhari in 2015.

During his seven-year tenure as Vice-President, he has served as acting President for more than 120 non-consecutive days while his Buhari was on medical leave in London between 2016 and 2018

Osinbajo will be contesting the APC Presidential primary against Bola Tinubu; the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi; and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
